So many of us want fame and the appeal that comes with it but so few of us
achieve it, as Mark Smith, ex gladiator, who has a part in the up and coming
Hollywood blockbuster Size Zero, explains, it can take years to get to the top
but all it takes is time, perseverance and a damn good agent!
Mark is busy out in Los Angeles getting ready to shoot two movies in early 2009,
Size Zero and Hoot Night in Hollywood. He has already shot a USA national
Olympic campaign and is currently starring in an episodic launched on the web
called Scary City. Mark who played ex-gladiator Rhino, said, “I joined up to
Hushstar, one of the hottest TV and film extra agencies, around two years ago to
further my acting career after the Gladiators.
I found them to be really supportive back then and they still are now that I
have made it in Hollywood.” In a cut-throat business like showbiz, it is all
well and good having the talent and enthusiasm, but without signing up to one of
the many casting agencies who understand where you see yourself in a few years
time, and without those expert contacts, you will ultimately fail to make it to
the big time.
Mark who has starred in other blockbusters including Batman Begins and the
Hitchhikers Guide to The Galaxy, and is currently filming his new movie Size
Zero, where he plays an American Footballer added, “I am currently filming in
Hollywood for my new movie, which features many A-list stars.
It is due to come out in a couple of months so we are still filming. For those
wanting to follow in my footsteps I would advise them that joining one of the
premium rate casting agencies like Hushstar is a really good start.”
